Nordic Open 2017, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu

Nordic Open 2017 Brazilian jiu-jitsu was held this weekend outside Stockholm. I was supposed to take part but I bailed out. Next time… But I did not wanna miss the competition as a photographer. I spent 7 hours taking pictures during the first day, ended up with 1600 shots. Unfortunate the area where they were fighting was separated with a fence to keep the spectators from coming to close. But as a photographer it means that I can’t take shots from a low position ( due to the fence) and thats my favorite position when it comes to sport photography.  So next time I will see if I can get some kind of permission to be on the inside, would make it lot easier. The light conditions inside the arena was ok, I never use a flash so I have to turn up the ISO to be able to keep the shutter speed fast. Lots of great fights during the whole day.DSC_2020DSC_1687DSC_1634DSC_1631DSC_1188DSC_1574DSC_1165DSC_1184DSC_1727DSC_1629DSC_1490DSC_1725

700

Yesterday I did my seven hundredth (700) post on Instagram. Well to be honest there isn’t 700 different pictures there are some reposts of already posted images.I guess. I’ve posted about 650 different ones, but the total amount is now 700. The thing is that I realized it after I posted it. So maybe I should have gone with a surf picture to celebrate my 700 post not a skateboard picture. Nothing wrong with the skate picture but my hart is in surfing. Anyway this picture sit from last years bowl competition in Stockholm. The event is called BowlStock and was held for the second time this year. Its a full day of bowl skating, live music and just lots of fun. If you have the possibility and you’re a decent skateboarder you should join the competition next year. The great thing with taking pictures during that day is the audience that are standing close to the bowls and that gives your images a boost. And to have a whole day with great skateboarders (women and men) doing tricks in the pool for you is so awesome. Just make sure that your have enough with batteries and memory for your camera. Here is some pictures from last year…staffan-rennermalm-6m06staffan-rennermalm-240staffan-rennermalm-1113staffan-rennermalm-547staffan-rennermalm-210staffan-rennermalm-110zstaffan-rennermalm-1280staffan-rennermalm-848staffan-rennermalm-694-recoveredstaffan-rennermalm-234staffan-rennermalm-506staffan-rennermalm-1044staffan-rennermalm-103staffan-rennermalm-440staffan-rennermalm-168
